Bahia Honda Bliss – our home away from home at Bahia Honda was site number 34, tucked away at the end of a street. Privacy was the name of the game, surrounded by bushes and trees. It wasn’t a full hook-up site, but with water and electric, we were set. The internet was decent, and oh boy, it was hot! The highlight? Exploring with our dogs. Walks to the marina, feeding the big fish, and strolling the disused bridge with its stunning beach on the other side. Helen turned eco-warrior, picking up trash while I walked the road with the dogs next to the beach, dogs are not allowed on the beach unfortunately.
Key West day trip? A tad stressful in the heat, and honestly, not much to do. But the journey back, cruising through a neighborhood where Key Deer roam freely, was pure magic. One little deer approached us, letting me pet it from the car window – highlight of the whole trip! Lunch at several waterfront restaurants with the dogs completed our Keys adventure. There was a small problem with the trailer discovered here which would unfortunately ultimately lead to us cancelling our trips scheduled for October and November.
